Book Cover - The Wonderful Wizard of Oz

I did two conceptual designs for this book cover, one that is illustrative and one that is more typographical. As an illustrator I tend to lean towards character design whenever it is an option so I wanted to try out a more type based design as well as a character based design. Using elements from the story to incorporate as design elements, I wanted to create a different feeling for each cover. Both very playful and fun, but each with their own style.
